SERBIA FASHION WEEK WINS BEST EVENT HELD AT CONGRESS CENTRE MASTER
Serbia Fashion Week was awarded the prestigious title of “Best Event Held at Congress Centre Master in 2016”, awarded by the QA service of the “Champions’ Night” event, as part of the Tourism Fair.
During its successful collaboration with the Congress Centre Master, Serbia Fashion Week has annually been attended by over 30,000 visitors, who have enjoyed such events as fashion shows by some of the world’s biggest names in fashion, young talent competitions, the European Young Talent competition, Serbia Fashion Awards, educational seminars and conferences, Design Week, ShowRoom, etc.
Regarding the award for “Best Event Held at Congress Centre Master”, the president of Serbia Fashion Week, Svetlana Horvat stated:
“To win an award for “Best Event Held at Congress Centre Master in 2016” at the Novi Sad Fair is a great honor for us. This award is proof that hard work, commitment, and determination are recognized and highly esteemed values. It is precisely at the Novi Sad Fair that we have become the manifestation that we are today, growing from 2,500 visitors to 30,000, statistically becoming the fifth biggest Fashion Week in Europe and a “Must be there” location for European designers. We owe sincere gratitude to the City of Novi Sad, who has recognized the potential of this festival since its humble beginnings, as well as to all our business partners. Of course, our biggest and most significant partner is the Congress Centre Master of Novi Sad Fair, without whose support, these results would never have happened. Wishing to become even bigger and better festival in the years ahead of us, through joint forces, I thank the Novi Sad Fair and Congress Centre Master for this prestigious award.”
The international festival of fashion and design, Serbia Fashion Week is the only licensed fashion week in Serbia and the greatest fashion event in Southeastern Europe. Serbia Fashion Week is marked by one of the most exponential growths in visitors and participants in Europe, and has so far hosted designers, media, and agencies from 30 different countries around the world, as well as some of fashion’s greatest stars – Anna Fendi, Eymeric Francois, Donald Potard, Arrey Kono, Ozlem Suer, and many others. The Serbian National Chamber of Fashion and Serbia Fashion Week have signed contracts for collaboration with 26 worldwide fashion weeks, and have thereby helped over 50 local designers present their collections at some of the most significant fashion weeks such as New York Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week, and more.
This year’s November edition of Serbia Fashion Week will be held November 20-26, while the awards ceremony, Serbia Fashion Awards, will take place on November 27. Novi Sad will play host to over 50 designers from all over the world, along with one of the greatest names in the fashion industry.
