Thierry Mugler, a revolutionary designer and a beloved choice of superstars such as Diana Ross, David Bowie, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Liza Minnelli, Celine Dion, and others, will make his debut in Serbia during Serbia Fashion Week, displaying his legendary haute couture collection. His work is best known for a radical use of the most unexpected materials in a way that is equally glamorous as it is futuristic. He presents the woman as a superhero, with exaggerated shoulders, an elegant silhouette, and clean lines. Metal, faux fur, and latex can rarely be seen in haute couture, but Thierry Mugler plays with them with great ease. Mugler’s spectacular shows from the 90s are still a hot topic in the fashion world. His claim to fame also rests on the versatility of his craft – he is the man behind the video for George Michael’s “Too Funky”, and a series of short films starring Isabelle Huppert i Juliette Binoche.

The closing ceremony of Serbia Fashion Week will be directed by member of the French Haute Couture institute and Vice-President of Serbia Fashion Week, Eymeric François. François worked with Mugler from 1997. to 1999. The choreography will be inspired by the golden age of haute couture in Paris – the 80s and 90s, when supermodels were superstars. The models’ hair will be styled by Frederic Pavard of Alexandre de Paris, a legendary hair stylist who has worked with renowned fashion houses such as Chanel, Yves Saint-Laurent, Givenchy, Christian Dior, Pierre Balmain, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Thierry Mugler for over 40 years.
