PATRIZIA GUCCI IS COMING TO SERBIA FASHION WEEK
Patrizia Gucci, the granddaughter of Guccio Gucci, the founder of the greatest Italian fashion brand and, and brand manager to the Gucci empire, is coming to Serbia Fashion Week, the leading fashion event in the region and fifth largest fashion week in Europe. Fashion heiress Patrizia Gucci expressed her delight at participating in Serbia Fashion Week and is looking forward to her visit to Serbia.
A global icon of fashion, Patrizia Gucci, will attend Serbia Fashion Week on November 25-28. On November 26, she will be promoting her book “Gucci: La vera storia di una dinastia di successo ”, (released in Serbia through publishing house Laguna). In her book, Patrizia talks about her childhood growing up in her grandparents mansion, about her early youth and the creation of the first Gucci bags. Fashion afficionados and anybody curious about the House of Gucci will find heartwarming, earnest stories about the greatest celebrities of the 50s who made appearances at early Gucci runways and memories of sheer Florentine luxury, but also stories about disappointment, disputes, and tense relationships in the Gucci family. This memoir is a tell-all about a family that has for decades headed of the greatest and most influential international fashion brands of our time, and which is to this day a symbol of Italian elegance and entrepreneurship.
The legendary Guccio Gucci founded Gucci in his native Florence back in 1921. Today, it is one of the best known and best-selling Italian brands, operating 300 stores around the world. Patrizia is a member of the fourth generation of the Gucci fashion empire and works as its brand manager. In 2013, the Gucci brand worth was estimated at 12,1 billion USD, with 4,7 billion in retail. In the same year, Gucci earned the 38th spot on Forbes’ list of most valuable brands.
Serbia Fashion Week plays the role of ambassador of the Serbian fashion scene to the world. Its collaboration with 26 international fashion weeks has opened the door for the promotion of Serbian fashion and designers in major sartorial capitals such as New York, Paris, Milan, Los Angeles, St. Petersburg, and more.
