SFW CONFERENCE “BRANDING BY FASHION” – LIVE STREAM

 

The November 2017 edition of Serbia Fashion Week starts with a spectacle – for the first time in Serbia, a fashion manifestation will hold a conference at the House of the National Assembly of Serbia.


“Branding by Fashion – the Role of Fashion Within the Branding of Tourist Destinations and Nations”
will be held on November 20 at 10 AM. Keep watching this page to watch a live stream of the panel discussion where some of the biggest national and worldwide experts in fashion and ethnology will take you through the important role the fashion industry has in branding a national identity.

The introductory speech will be held by Maja Gojković, president of the National Assembly of Serbia; Svetlana Horvat, president of the National Chamber of Fashion of Serbia and Serbia Fashion Week; Marina Scognamiglio, director of Italian Trade Agency; Nicolas Faye, Charge d’Affairs of the Embassy of the Republic of France; and last but not least, Donald Potard, former CEO of Jean Paul Gothier and Head of the Fashion Design Department of Paris College of Art.

“Branding in fashion and art” – 10.30 AM

Participating: Donald Potard, former CEO of Jean Paul Gothier and Head of the Fashion Design Department of Paris College of Art; William Arlotti, the expert fashion consultant and director of the French agency House Off, Tijana Palkovljević, director of the Gallery of Matica Srpska, and Robert Čoban, CEO of Color Press Group.  Marina Kosanović will be moderating the panel.

“The Role of the Fashion Industry in Attracting Tourists and Investments” – 12 AM

Participating: Marija Labović, director of the National Tourism Organisation of Serbia, Branislav Knežević, director of the Tourist Organisation of the city of Novi Sad, Dr Biljana Chronos Krasavac, professor at the Faculty of Economics in Belgrade, and Eymeric Francois, art director of fashion events and fairs in Paris and Berlin. Marina Kosanović will be moderating the panel.

A special part of the Day 1 program includes an exhibition of 10 reproductions of paintings by famous Serbian artists loaned from the Gallery of Matica Srpska, along with creations by fashion designers who were inspired by them.
