SERBIAN DESIGNERS WOW AUDIENCES AT MILANO FASHION WEEK

Three of our distinguished fashion designers, Marija Šabić, Hana Sirćo, and Milica Tričković, presented their collections at one of the world’s greatest fashion capitals during Milano Fashion Week, on September 24, thanks to the contract between this platform and Serbia Fashion Week. Keeping a good thing going, Marija Šabić has returned to Milano following her phenomenal presentation on its runways last year. Likewise, Serbia Fashion Week took an honorary spot in the jury during the Young Talents competition, Ms Svetlana Horvat, president of Serbia Fashion Week among them. Mad Mood Milano was held at the wonderful Palazzo dei Giureconsulti, next to one of Italy’s greatest architectural feats, the renown Duomo – needless to say, the atmosphere was straight out of a fairy tale.

The Mad Mood Milano platform and Milano Fashion Week were a unique opportunity for our designers to present their newest collections shoulder to shoulder with iconic labels such as Roberto Cavalli, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Fendi, Max Mara, etc. Our designers had some of the most distinguished collections of the night, and were lauded with spectacular reviews by the Italian fashion It crowd, media, and Milano Fashion Week attendees.

The president of Serbia Fashion Week, Ms Svetlana Horvat commented on the Milano success:

“It is a big deal for the Serbian fashion scene to have not one but three representatives at Milano Fashion Week. Two young designers stunned us with their sheer talent – Hana Sirćo and Milica Tričković – and no less than in one of the fashion’s biggest capitals, Milano. Their work caught the attention of both the media and the European fashion community. Marija Šabić has once again retained her position as a regional fashion superstar – we are proud to have such a reliable representative of the local fashion scene, shining a bright light on our work wherever she takes the runway. Thanks to all the hard work behind Serbia Fashion Week, we have secured recognition for our region on even the world’s most acclaimed fashion weeks. Both the press and the public know to expect only the finest collections from Serbian designers, and they look forward to them.”

Upon returning from Milano, our designer Marija Šabić was full of impressions:

“It is a privilege to be invited by the Mad Mood platform to Milano Fashion Week for the second time, just as it is a privilege to be chosen by Serbia Fashion Week to present my newest collection for 2018. Any designer would be honored. I had a fantastic photoshoot and runway show, working with some of Italy’s leading professionals in the industry, and I am thrilled with the reactions the collection generated. Milano is a fashion capital just like New York and Paris, and it feels great to find your place in the global fashion scene. I look forward to a continuation of my relationship with Milano.”
